And, are you confident you have the tools to selfmanage your moods naturally?
All of these questions give us an understanding of our current levels of EMOTIONAL INTELLIGENCE, in other words, our levels of awareness of our feelings and ability to use them to get us where we are happy to be.
Moods or Mood Disorders are energetically frozen emotions. Yes, unprocessed emotions may end up as a mood. If you are not one to show your anger in an appropriate way you may end up as someone always irritated. Or, if you are unaware or blocked in expressing your sadness you may end up flat and lacking spontaneity.
We can usually trace the moments our emotions froze back to one or more of the following situations:
We were unable to do what we wanted to do
We were unable to say what we wanted to say.
We were unable to get our needs met in some way.
Mood Shifters……these are tools used to self manage our moods.
* Self awareness checks. How am I generally feeling? Have I been cheating on my own self care in some way?
* Social awareness checks. What am I like amongst others?
* Willingness to evaluate yourself and the situation honestly and employ wise expression. Are you personalizing? Are you making assumptions? Do you need to ask more questions or express yourself more clearly?
