STEPHANIE JADE ALEXANDRA MOSS

Stephanie had her family besotted with her from her first breath on April 10, 1992. A bright and cheerful girl, she chatted to anyone and had the most gorgeous giggle that would light
up a room. She still has … Steph continues to have a positive impact on many people, some she does not even know.

Stephanie’s life changed forever on September 18, 2011 when she had a seizure caused by a large tumour in her brain. She underwent surgery the next day to remove as much as possible of the tumour and made a fast recovery. Rarely occurring in females, particularly 19 year olds, this aggressive tumour claims all its victims. Time is bought with a combination of  radiotherapy and chemotherapy cycles for as long as can be tolerated.

Many of Stephanie’s dreams have been put on hold while she fights this battle. Dreams of a degree and a piano/singing teacher position are now unlikely. She is still playing piano, singing and is a popular girl with a whole lot of courage. Stephanie loves hanging with friends and is mad on the colour purple. We are holding a party for Steph on 25.2.12 (invitation only). Her family and friends will join together and get behind her for the journey ahead, all wearing something purple and a bandanna. Steph loves to give so the party and party activities
will be used to raise funds for her chosen charities. She has decided to donate funds raised to the Starlight Children’s Foundation (because of her love for children and to ensure sick kids are provided some joy amongst the pain of treatment) and Cure For Life Foundation (to raise awareness and research options for the cause, treatment and prevention of this horrible disease).

“1400 Australians are diagnosed with brain tumours a year and 1100 die from them” Cure for Life.

HOW CAN YOU HELP?

Steph would like to raise lots of $$$ for these organisations and know that she is doing what she can to assist the lives of others. She is currently volunteering time and giving practical help where she can. It is impossible for Steph to cover all the ground required to gather financial support so we are asking for help to raise these much needed funds.
